Emzy noted that he’s not seen his father for the past three months, neither has he spoken to him. An activist of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Baah Acheamfour has taken on President Akufo-Addo claiming the latter is the one leading the many corruption cases in his government despite his dissociation.  “Nana Addo started the corruption while in opposition and has brought it into government so I am not surprised about the level of corruption today”, the ardent critic of the President said on ‘Me Man Nti’ evening political talk show on ‘Kumasi FM’ hosted by Nana Yaw Mensah Joel monitored by MyNewsGh.com.  According to Mr. Baah Acheamfour, who described himself as good outstanding member of the NPP, then-candidate Nana Akufo-Addo in opposition superintended over corruption in party which led to the suspension of some national executives of the party at the time.  “Paul Afoko, Kwabena Agyapong and Sammy Crabbe were all suspended from the party at the time Nana Akufo-Addo was our flagbearer when they started to speak against corruption in party”, ...

Avowed critic of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government and host of ‘With All Due Respect',Kevin Ekow Baidoo Taylor, has dropped a hint of where the next scandal will come from.  In a Facebook post, the NPP member wrote: “Next week’s scandal is sponsored by the Senior Minister’s office…” suggesting Mr. Yaw Osafo-Maafo is likely to be the focus on his next episode in the coming days  It is unclear what the scandal is about but information gathered points to the Senior Minister’s working with Kroll Associates.  It will be recalled that Kroll Associates have been cited by the Auditor General to have received payments wrongfully. The European Union (EU) has called on Africa to tackle issues of corruption in a more realistic way to create economic opportunities for their people to stay and build the continent. According to Mr Dirk Buda, the Head of Political School, EU delegation, Rabat, African countries needed robust independent justice system and effective public administration to tackle corruption. He was speaking at the on-going Media and Migration school, underway in Rabat, Morocco, and attended by 27 Journalists drawn from Europe and Africa. The Herald has intercepted incontrovertible evidence that indicates that the Bank of Ghana (BoG), received a cash transfer totalling GH¢90 million from the now collapsed Heritage Bank Ghana Limited, as minimum capital to help meet the requirements of the licence granted its shareholders. The documents indicated that the money was transferred by Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited on behalf of the Heritage Bank to BoG on December 30, 2016. According to the documents, the money was transferred into the account of Heritage Bank at BoG, as part of stated capital required by BoG by persons and institutions that wanted to set up banks at the time. The transfer reference number was 000000553230, one document showed. President Nana Akufo-Addo has announced the arrival of the first batch ambulances for all 275 constituencies in the country. The first batch numbering about 48, arrived in the country yesterday, Thursday. The arrival of the ambulances is part of the fulfilment of a promise made by President Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP Government in the build-up to the 2016 general elections. President Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP promised all 275 constituencies and one ambulance per a constituency. The NPP also promised to revamp the ailing National Ambulance Service, which as of 2018 had only about 55 ambulances working across the country. Nana Akufo-Addo said the rest are expected to arrive in the country next month for onward distribution to hospitals in every constituency. Multiple award-winning Ghanaian rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, best known in showbiz as Sarkodie has been nominated for a 2019 Black Entertainment Television (BET) Hip Hop Award. Sarkodie has been nominated in the newly created Best International Flow category alongside six other acts, Falz (Nigeria), Ghetts (U.K), Kalash (France), Lil Simz (U.K), Nasty C (South Africa) and Tory Lanez (Canada). This is however not the rapper's first nomination from the BET as he has had nominations in 2012, 2014 and 2015.
