Electric vehicle users in Ghana want the government to reduce or totally scrap the taxes they pay when they import cars to the country. Electric car Their request is coming after the Finance Minister said in his 2019 budget that the Minister of Energy would introduce the tax to promote the shift from fuel-based vehicles to electric vehicles. However, according to operators of electric vehicles they are yet to enjoy tax-free solutions stated by the finance minister in the 2019 budget presentation. The Operations Manager at Solar Taxi Ghana, Arnold Anokye Amoateng told Accra-based Citi FM that they are rather made to pay higher taxes at the ports on each electric vehicle they import. According to him this does not help their business grow. The actor who says life became difficult after his wedding, disclosed he currently needs to pay about 7,800 cedis before power is restored to his house. Speaking in an interview with Zion Felix, Oteele said he rented the house shortly after his wedding but the caretaker has not been settling the electricity bill even though he has been taking from tenants, causing the electricity company to cut power to the house. The situation became so bad that some tenants go arrested at one point, the actor revealed. He explained that he didn’t make any profit from his wedding, making him go bankrupt and renting the house shortly after that further ‘deepened the hole in his pocket’. The government has submitted for gazetting and publication the report from the Ayawaso West Wuogon Commission of Inquiry and its attendant white paper. According to the Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the government, after scrutinising the report, has issued a white paper which, together with the report itself, will be published in accordance with Article 280 Clause 3 of the 1992 constitution. A MAN whose penis "split" had it reconstructed - using honey, doctors have revealed. The 55-year-old patient, from Roskilde, Denmark, first went to medics after his foreskin became too tight to pull back. Docs at Zealand University Hospital in Denmark used Manuka honey to treat a man who's skin on his penis had split Doctors initially thought he balanoposthitis, which occurs when the foreskin and head of the penis become inflamed. But during an examination it was revealed that the unnamed man was circumcised, according to an article published in the International Journal of Surgery Case Reports. Medics at Zealand University Hospital discovered the patient had non-cancerous tumours at the root, shaft and tip of his penis, which were infected.
