Four African Presidents to grace 2019 GUBA awards
Four African Presidents, including President Akufo-Addo of Ghana are to grace this year's edition of the GUBA awards in New York slated for September 26.
The Presidents are Andry Rajoelina of Madagascar, Alpha Conde of Guinea, and Roch Marc Christian Kabore of Burkina Faso.
The event will also be attended by the President of the ECOWAS Commission, Jean -Claude Kassi Brou, and the Chief of Staff /Senior Strategist at the office of the Secretary-General, Nelson Muffah.
The GUBA award seeks to reward, celebrate excellence and innovation of African individuals and organisations in the diaspora and Africa, working to the empowerment and progression of the African community.
This year’s award ceremony, which will be held on the theme: “African Diaspora, the Catalyst for Growth and Innovation” will focus on the Sustainable Development Goal 17 aims to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalise the global partnership for sustainable development.
